01 What are the Various Race Categories in VASAI VIRAR MUNICIPAL CORPORATION MARATHON?
The VASAI VIRAR MUNICIPAL CORPORATION MARATHON (VVMCM) has 4 timed races i.e Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K Run for Amateurs, 5K Run for Amateurs and The Dhamaal Dhaav (Fun Run).
02 How do I register for the above mentioned Race Categories?
There are two ways of registering for VVMCM. 1) Online & 2) Offline
03 How do I register online?
You can register online from our website www.vvmm.in under the registration tab.
04 What is the registration fee?
The fees for online and offline registration are Rs. 850 (Exclusive of GST and Processing fees) for the Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K Run & Rs. 800 (Exclusive of GST and Processing fees) for the 5K Run. The fee for Dhamaal Dhaav is Rs.100 (Exclusive of GST and Processing fees.)
05 When will I get my entry confirmation and bib number?
If you have registered online through our event website the entry confirmation e-mail will be sent to you as soon as you register for the races, while the bib number will be sent to you before 25th November, 2024 on your registered e-mail ID provided by you at the time of registration. For offline registration, a receipt will be provided at the registration office and the Bib number will be sent within 15 working days on the e-mail ID provided by you at the time of registration. Confirmation SMS with the BIB No will be sent to the participants 10 days prior to the Expo.
06 I accidently filled the wrong information, can I change it?
Any changes regarding the Name, D.O.B, age, gender and email address can be done provided you send an e-mail at [email protected] intimating about the necessary changes within 48 hours of registration and it matches with your id proof.
07 I am facing problems with registration/payment and I have not received a confirmation e-mail?
In case of any issues with registration or payment kindly send us an e-mail on [email protected] and one of our representatives will get in touch with you.
08 Do I have an option of switching the race categories after I register?
Request for change in race category (timed races only) will be entertained up to 30 days prior to the event, on or before 7th November 2024. Participants need to write in with their request to [email protected]. When there is a cost difference in categories, the participant will have to register first and then write in to claim a refund.
Participant can request for a change in race category only once for this edition of VVMCM-2024
09 Is there an option for cancellation and refund if I am not able to run because of some unforeseen circumstances?
We cannot provide any refund against cancellation so be careful while planning for the race.
10 What do I get on the day I collect my BIB?
You will be given a running bib with a timing chip and an event t-shirt (Timed Races) at the time of BIB distribution. Dhamaal Dhaav Participants will not be eligible for a medal or a t-shirt but only refreshments, as it is not a timed race but a fun run. However participants do have the option of purchasing an event t-shirt online.
11 Can someone else collect the BIB and timing chip on my behalf?
Yes, you can send your friend/colleague/family member to collect your timing chip & BIB in case of unavoidable circumstances. However, the representative has to produce the following:
  • A printed copy of this email confirmation
  • If using a smartphone, the email confirmation or SMS forwarded by the participant.
  • Photocopy of your (the participant) photographic proof of identity, i.e.: your Aadhar card, Passport, Driving license, Voter's Identity Card or PAN card. It also can be shown on the Smartphone.
  • Photographic proof of identity of your representative visiting the registration counters on Your behalf, i.e.: his/her Aadhar card, Passport, Driving license, Voter's Identity Card or PAN card.
12 I chose the option of collecting the bib from Mumbai but I couldn't collect it on the bib collection days?
In case you couldn't collect the bib from a Bib distribution centre in Mumbai you can come to the Virar Expo and collect the bib.
13 Can I collect my bib on the Race Day?
No. Bibs will be not given on the race day.
14 What are the cut-off timings for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k Run and 5K Run?
The cut-off timings are as follows: Marathon: 6:00 hrs & Half Marathon: 3hrs. There is no cut-off time for 10k Run and 5K Run.
15 When do the races start?
The timings of the races will be put up closer to Race Date.
16 How do I reach the Venue from Mumbai and other Places?
Western Railway runs a special Marathon train which leaves from Churchgate to Virar. Outstation Participants will have to come to Vasai or Virar depending on their race categories. The Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation Buses will ferry all the participants from Vasai Station to the Half Marathon starting point and from Virar Station to the Marathon, 10k and 5K Races Starting Point.
17 What do I get after finishing the race?
All finishers will get a Finisher's Medal and refreshments after finishing the race.
18 When will I get my certificate and Race Photographs?
The Certificates and Race day Photographs will be made available on the website within 48 hours of race day.
19 How Do I Register Offline?

Offline registrations will be accepted till 8th of November.
